ESCO Ultralok
The ESCO Ultralok system is the world's first two-piece tooth system: It consists only of a tooth adapter and a tooth – the lock is integrated directly into the tooth.
Advantages at a Glance
- Hammerless installation: Unlocking with a simple lever, no loose locking part
- Loss-proof: The integrated lock cannot detach by itself
- Flexible fit: Smooth adapter nose allows the use of pre-blades without special tooth variants
- Long service life: Profiled tooth shapes with a concave grinding self-sharpen as they wear
Suitable Machines
The Ultralok system is extremely versatile and designed for a wide range of construction machinery:
- Hydraulic Excavators: From mini excavators (approx. 1 tonne) to large mining excavators (up to approx. 75 tonnes).
- Wheel Loaders: Specifically optimized for backfilling and direct material extraction.
The Different Tooth Shapes and Their Applications
To achieve the best performance for every ground condition, there are a variety of specialized shapes:
- S (Standard) – The All-rounder: Ideal for general earthworks and trenching in normal soils.
- C (Chisel) – Chisel shape: Best choice for hard, compact material where good penetration depth is required.
- P (Penetration) – Pointed tooth: Offers maximum penetration in extremely hard shale, limestone, or frozen ground.
- T (Tiger) – Double tip: For extreme breakout resistance; penetrates where other teeth fail.
- F (Flare) – Flat tooth: Perfect for clean excavation of trench bottoms or loading loose material.
- A (Abrasion) – Maximum wear protection: Specifically for extremely abrasive conditions (e.g., sand, gravel) with a lot of wear material.
- AP (Abrasion Penetration): A hybrid form that combines good wear protection with decent penetration depth.
- APV (Abrasion Penetration V-shape): Similar to AP, but even better optimized for use on wheel loader buckets due to its V-shape.
- H (Heavy): A particularly massive design for maximum service life under very high stress.
- K (Rock): Specifically developed for use in rock, to better "grip" and break up the rock.
- R (Rock Penetration): Combines robustness for rock applications with a sharp geometry for maximum penetration depth in solid rock.
This wide selection allows you to perfectly adapt the system to your current project. The fast, hammerless change ensures that the machine has minimal downtime, even if you need to adjust the tooth shape at short notice.
