The PROTECTOR E4 from ECHLE is the next evolutionary step in modern cab protection. Developed for tough use in demolition, civil engineering, forestry or recycling, it reliably protects against falling objects - without restricting visibility or impairing the machine's operational readiness.

The PROTECTOR E4 is a patented FOPS protective structure (Falling Object Protective Structure), tested in accordance with ISO 10262 - Category 2, which means it meets the highest safety requirements for cab protection systems in professional use.
✅ Easy to transport - installation height only 40 mm
Many protective systems make the excavator too high for transportation due to their height - not the PROTECTOR E4. With its extremely flat body height of just 40 mm, the overall height of the machine hardly changes. This means: easy transportation without special approval or conversion.
✅ Front grille can be swung down to the front - without climbing onto the roof
In contrast to conventional, hinged FOPS systems, with the PROTECTOR E4 you no longer have to climb onto the excavator roof to fix or adjust the front grille; thanks to integrated gas pressure springs, the grille can be easily swung down to the front - simply from the ground or directly from the cab. This allows you to switch between full protection and a clear view in a flash.

When driving in road traffic or when moving the machine within the company, the front grille can be swung down to the front for optimum forward visibility - without dismantling or tools.
